<p>Would it seem inappropriate to write a letter to office of admissions stating why i want to attend their college, or what it would mean to me? …this has nothing to do with the essay or anything, but as an applicant “less qualified” i guess you can say, would showing my strong interest in the school help in any way?</p>

<p>D1 did this last year (although she actually was statistically qualified for the schools in question)…outcome: Applied: 3 schools in this category Results: accepted to 1, waitlisted to 2…don’t think it really mattered…“enough white females from NJ”…</p>
