Why is a Certain BS NOT a FIT for you?

What stereotypes? I said I don’t want to go as Groton is in a village. A couple of others who visited Groton said “old-school preppy” and “pretentious”.

Don’t feed the beast (Pulsar).

Then go to [Town Government](<a href=“Town of Groton”>http://www.townofgroton.org/) and click on Community Profile:

The Town of Groton, incorporated in 1655, is a lovely New England village. Population: 7,511. What frame of reference do you want me to put this in? :D

Parlabane, It’s time to be sane, you bigger BEAST.

Pulsar, it might be better to use information that’s less than 16 years old.

From the Groton town home page, to which you have so graciously provided a link:

“Groton, founded in 1655, has a population of 10,406 (2006 Town Census) and is located in the Nashoba Valley area in northwestern Middlesex County. The town is governed by Town Meeting. With an area of 32.54 square miles, Groton is the largest town in Middlesex County.”

It’s still a village. But it is more interesting to see how often the townships update their websites, lol. Any one looking for Govt. jobs now? They may be relaxing to the soul and body. Time seems to move even slower at township administrations.

Lesson from Pulsar - Never let a few facts get in the way of a strongly held opinion.

sigh

Are you being serious about a population increase from 7,511 to 10,406 makes it a town/city? Even 10,406 is in 2006, it may be even lower now as population can increase or decrease.

Are you guys seriously fighting about how many people live in Groton?..

Please post why you considered a certain BS not a fit for you. Please include as much detail as possible from your visits/revisits experience.

e.g. Format:

Andover: Too large, Too liberal
Exeter: Too competitive, Too large, Not strong in arts
Deerfield: Middle of nowhere (not city/town), too preppy

Mais non. This is serious intellectual debate!

;-)

Yes, it is intellectual debate and it is one sided unfortunately. :D

Andover: too spread out campus, not special out of 1000 kids (even though Im going to Exeter, i felt more special there)
Deerfield: daily traditions (sit down meals) dress code, too competitive for athletics

Gabii, You felt special at Exeter because you are a math/science type or something else?

Sue-I have been around the boards only a short time, but i have found that the kids with the the least attention at home are the ones who try to get needless attention about "crazy " things online. When they being to talk I just ignore.

Just a little FYI.

hotchkiss: not really convenient geographically because im an int’l student who flies half way across the world 3-4 times a yr.
SPS: too athletic(?, at least for me), outdoor

I feel a sense of belonging at exeter somehow…

It’s time for all the moms to pack up and not return to this thread unless they have something useful to post. Maybe CC should put an IQ restriction for people to enter certain threads. Or some moms need to find useful work to do that they can. That will take care of this parent-dar problem for good. :D

Alex, Spend quality time with your d, don’t waste it here and ours. Bye.

somnusc, Yaa, hotchkiss and groton are kind of middle of nowhere.

Bye, pulsar. Have a nice weekend.
