people on here do have really good sat scores

SAT scores do not equal intelligence (as if this hasn’t been said).

And genius…there are few geniuses in the world. I doubt that many are here.

^ Depends on how you define Genius… I’d be willing to bet that at least a few people here have a genius IQ.

I will admit it when I think genius, I think Albert Einsten, as many people probably do. Or Da Vinci. Or whatever…Hm, what is the IQ? And/or what is the percentage considered genius, if you have those statistics?

And yeah, there are probably A FEW on here. I mean, I don’t know the definition of genius but I feel like one should be in the top .howevermany0sareneed1%.

Genius IQ is usually seen to start between 1 in 400 to 1 in 1000 which would mean an IQ of 140 or 150.

Hmm…that means like 2 or 3 kids in my schools are geniuses? Though probably more, given my school (just being honest, I’m not one of them!). Yeah, I guess my personal definition of genius would be a higher threshold…

Yeah it does seem like a bit of a low threshold doesn’t it… Mensa cut off is around 120-125… Seems low.

Genius? No. Far from it.
Procrastinator? Yes. If only colleges had a major for procrastinating. I’d graduate with honors.

Agreed. It should be more exclusive (meaning I should have ZERO chance of getting in, though I have NO idea what my IQ is and I doubt I would be even close to Mensa/Genius…).

I wouldnt say genius,

they just have parents who have pushed them academically and valued academics

I like to use CC to get advice about school.

My counselor just says, “Whatever, you’re smart, you can take whatever you want, pretty much.”
