Okay, so today is first day of classes, and all of a sudden I am seeing many more people walking on crutches than I usually do. Most of them don’t have a cast on, and most are actually walking fairly normally. Is it “national see-what-it-feels-like-to-be-on-crutches” day, or did a lot of people get sprained ankles skiing over Christmas break? Anyone else notice this, or am I crazy?

I didn’t notice this; but i’m going to look out for it tommorrow. Its probably drunken New Years injuries.

Ski accidents over Christmas break?

Oh, and there are lots of people on those little motorized, uh, whatever you call them. The little motorized trikes like they have at grocery stores. They aren’t really scooters, but they aren’t really tricycles.

lol…i just saw one of those today and thought that it looked like the ones at walmart.

I saw one today too. I saw one person yester day also. dunno if they are the same person.

The athletic department has a bunch of those scooters, for when players are injured or being treated. I believe a lot of sports surgeries are scheduled for break. Possibility.

I’ve seen several neck braces also. The athlete theory does make sense, except that many of the injured people I’ve seen so far don’t look like athletes at all. Interesting phenomenon this is.
