Yesterday I walked the beach at low tide and nearly had frostbite of my feet and ankles, they tingled and hurt for an hour. Today on the same walk I skipped the scarf and gloves and stripped down to a tank top. It was only 60, but there was sunshine.

Today my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by boating through the funky coastal communities and unspoiled waterways of Pine Island, Bokeelia, Useppa Island and Boca Grande on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

It was 80 degrees, calm green seas, a cool but not chilling breeze and brilliant sunlight.

I wish you all a day this beautiful in your summer.

I wore my winter coat to work this morning. The A/C was blasting in our office building all day, and my fingers were frozen. I left in the chilly rain. Gotta love the midwest.

I do miss “spring.” It seems like it’s either cold or hot … I miss warm.

Rain predicted for the entire week here. Every year it rains on the weekend our middle schoolers go to Hershey Park, PA for a music festival, and so they spend a soggy Saturday miserable and cold in an amusement park. But it’s supposed to clear up by Sat. and be nice and chocolaty warm in Hershey. I sure hope so!

I concur that AZ is the place to be. D was there this weekend and it was in the 90’s!

Last week we had record high temperatures (90s) on Mon & Tue. The swimming pool opened in my complex on Thur evening. Fri - Sun was unseasonably cool; high in the low 50s.

But yesterday and today were pretty much perfect! For me, perfect is low 70s and no humidity. I really enjoyed it but I know it won’t last!

kelsmom, where I live it is never hotter than warm, I kinda miss hot sometimes, but I have learned to embrace warm.

Congratulations Laketime! We were celebrating our 25th when we went to Arizona. I have a picture of my feet on the pool lounge chair with my painted toe nails facing a beautiful sunny view of Camelback Mountain, I’ll keep that in my head as I navigate the drizzle and fog and cold here at home for (at least!) the next four days, according to the weather people. Why is it that they are never wrong about that kind of stuff when they are always wrong about predictions of snow storms!

I am another poster saying it is rainy & cold here. I am wearing one of my winter wool turtlenecks…

Laketime & EPTR:

Congrats on your 25th! Ours is coming up in November.

As I said on another thread, I feel like I’m on Noah’s Ark!
Let it rain, though, so when we have our grad party the rain will be over with?!? (wishful thinking?!)

^^^
Yes! Wishful thinking! We had my youngest daughter’s grad party last summer in July. It rained TWICE during last summer in this area. One if those was the night of her party. The other was during a good friends party for her D. My family has become famous for it’s weather curse during vacations and special events.

Good thing I’ve continued taking vitamin D. It’s the 5th straight rainy, dreary day in a row. It’s not affecting me so much, except I have to wear one sweater, one fleece vest, a long-sleeve T-shirt, and a camisole. But my DH is unusually noisy about all this rain.

Sunday’s stage of the Tour of California (cycling) was scheduled at Lake Tahoe, normally sunny and warmish at mid-day this time of year. It was cancelled due to … snow.
