Why is my CAL GRANT B withdrawn?

I just received a letter that told me they would give me CAL GRANT A, which was $7126 the first year. In the Cal Grant B column, it says WITHDRAWN.
But I used to be eligible for Cal Grant B. Plus, my parents’ income should be low enough and they never had any raises.
I remember Cal Grant B is better than Cal Grant A in a long run, because Cal Grant B gives more money after freshman year.
What happened to my Cal Grant B?
Please help me. Thank you very much

Don’t you think this would be better asked to the Financial Aid office?

yea, but they always reponse late.
I figured some people might have some experiences on this, so…

My high school UC GPA is 4.14. I ace all my class in senior year. So my grade didnt change. I am also sure my parents’ income stays the same the whole time. Nothing has changed, yet my cal grant B is withdrawn? What happens? Could it be a mistake or something?

If I click on the "Award Status: COMMISSION-WITHDRAWN“
It says:

Award Status description
AUTO ACCEPT Automatically accepted.

COMMISSION WITHDRAWN Withdrawn by CA Student Aid Commission

The California Student Aid Commission has a customer service number, and the people who answer the phone have been very nice and helpful when I’ve called. Go to calgrants.org and look for the “Contact Us” link.

You only get one grant- A or B, UCs choose the one on your behalf which will give more aid over four years, usually B, though, so I am not sure why they changed your to A

No. I may only choose grant A or B, but I can be eligible for both grant A and B. In this case, I am no longer eligible for grant B because it has been withdrawn by CA Student Aid Commission. That is why I want to know what causes my cal grant B being withdrawn when none of my infomation has changed.

im in the exact same situation you’re in! Im really curious as to why they changed that.

The income ceiling for Grant B is really low, perhaps they changed the limit?

I figured out what happened
