In may, I took the sat and had 5 incorrect and 0 ommitted answers… this totals to missing 6 and a quarter points… I scored a 700… now in the fall for the November exam… I thought I did really well in the math section… I got my scores back and I had zero incorrect answers and two omitted… totaled up, that’s 4 and a quarter points better than my last test… but I only got a 720 and I don’t understand how. there was the same number of questions on each test and scoring 4+ points better raises my score by only 20 points… best case scenario, I could have scored and extra two points, so how is it possible that im 80 points away from 800 when I only could have scored two more points, especially if the 4 points I did earn only raised my score by 20… What sort of grading system is that?

Scoring curve varies by test; the November test might have been easier and so you got penalized more for incorrect/unanswered.
