Just sayin…

The other Ivies seem to have current sticky threads. With ED 2017 results in and RD up next, isn’t it time?

I haven’t been on here for very long so I’m just asking.

It’s a resource – to allow potential applicants to see how they compare with others who’ve been accepted and rejected. It’s the most recent data set, in one sense. Until RD 2017 results gets going after Mar 28, it’s worthwhile, no?

That’s fine. I kind of thought the most current stats - ED 2017 would be most useful but its probably more accurate to compare ED to ED and RD to RD.

^ Actually, the average stats of accepted ED and RD applicants are quite comparable (same average SATs, GPAs, etc.).

However, all of the decision threads on CC–ED and RD–are extremely small, self-selected samples, and should be taken with an enormous grain of salt.
There are just so many statistically qualified applicants, and the admissions process is so holistic, that it’s difficult to accurately predict specific admissions decisions based on the decision threads.
