You go too quickly and don’t check over your work efficiently. People always check over thinking that their logic can’t be wrong and that they got them all right, but there are always some wrong because. Pick up RocketReview, its math section will solve your problem.

I have the exact problem. I am great at Math and yet cannot get a straight 800 on the SAT. The most I have gotten on the practice tests is a 730.

See, the thing is the SAT Math is not complicated math or anything; in fact, it’s just the opposite. SAT Math is a logic test. You will notice that there is a pattern of questions and mostly the same type of questions with different numbers or maybe a glitch here or there. The math isn’t hard at all, so treat it as an IQ test. The reason most people who are good at math don’t seem to understand why they don’t get a perfect on the SAT is because they tend to overthink it.

My suggestion: Practice as much as you can. This will help you to identify what type of questions are there, and how to tackle them. Trust me, I started with a 600 on my Math section, and now after 7 practice tests have been able to bring it up.

Is doing Math HL at IB next year going to make the SAT really easy? That is, provided that I pay attention to the questions and don’t make ■■■■■■■■ mistakes.

Because I’ve applied for Math HL. Do IB Math HL students have any feedback to give me on this question?
