WHy is USC ba/md hard to get in ?

my sister got in with a 1360…

Hi I’m a new user and a ninth grader and I would like to know from those who got in what do you recommend for me to do in order to also get in. Recommended classes to take, activities to partake in, and advice for me throughout my education career. Thanks for your time.

Is it early February when they notify interviews?

If you still have that attitude senior year, you will get rejected.
Dont do things for college. Do it for yourself, for learning and for experiences. The rewards will follow.

Hey guys,

I was selected for an interview. Got the letter yesterday. (Very excited! Haha)

I am not a super stat student. 32 SAT, 740 Bio II, 720 Math2 II, 3.92UW. However, I demonstrated my sincere interest in medicine and USC (in general) through my essays and because of my family history (parent grew up around USC town center but did not ever actually attend)

My EC’s are not super medical related. Actually, they are not medically related at all. I volunteered at a hospital for a couple of months and did health information…

Honestly, being an above average student, with sincere interest, and a well-rounded resume are the things they’re looking for. If this program is truly about growing potentially “great” doctors, then genius is not the key to getting in… it’s personality, drive, interest, decent smarts, all combined.

Wish me luck!
