<p>Because MIT is ranked in the top 10 in USWNR. That’s how I answered it, at least. He seemed pretty pleased.</p>
<p>There’s a reason why they ask that question. If you can’t find a good answer for it by yourself, then maybe it’s time to rethink some things…</p>

<p>because you <3 math/science? you can talk about IAP or UROP or any of those other crazy acronyms. if i were you, i’d research MIT and find some MIT-specific stuff to impress them. but make sure you’re honest about it… if MIT really doesn’t excite you and you really don’t know why you’re applying then… don’t even bother.</p>
