Why New England?

<p>Why is it that most of the good schools are in New England?</p>

<p>I mean, look at:
Phillips Exeter- NH
Phillips Andover- MA
St. Pauls- NH
Deerfield- MA
Groton- MA
Concord Academy- MA
Hotchkiss- CT
Milton Academy MA
Middlesex School MA
and so on and so forth</p>

<p>Seriously, many of these school were established when there was nary a European to be found west of the Mississippi. Andover was founded in 1778, Exeter in 1781, Deerfield in 1797. Even the latecomers had their starts in the 19th century. They’ve had a long head start on the competition.</p>
