Early MIT and Caltech
Regular HYPS

Thanks.

looks decent, but i’d have a few safety schools in there just in case you dont get into those schools. those schools you have mentioned are very hard to get into, so i would add like Carnegie Mellon and RPI if you are intending to go into engineering. Also, early admissions doesnt help when applying to MIT, read it in US News & World Report.

Edit: PLease help me with my chances http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=365470 thanks

Good ECs, decent SAT, decent rank, MAYBE in at one of those schools.

Raise your reading/writing scores.

Hopefully you retake the SAT and do really well, schools of those caliber would like to see 2300+ SAT. Your USAMO and USNCO qualifiers will help you immesnly at Caltech and quite a bit at MIT. You have a nice GPA/rank. Your ECs, while not AMAZING, have direction and are quite strong. I say you will be in at Caltech and have a really strong shot at MIT. HYPS will be reaches for you however because they like “well balanced” individuals.

So as for now:
Expect an acceptance from Caltech early
Low Reach at MIT
and Reach at HYPS

Good luck man.
