UCLA dad - thanks for the morning giggle! (post #33 for those of you who read it too fast.)

And to everybody else, you’re making it much too complicated. It’s just that CC likes some people better – value added.

And to everybody else, you’re making it much too complicated. It’s just that CC likes some people better – value added.

Mudders mudder–I’ve run all the computer simulations I know, and I still think it’s panicky, “the sky is falling” folks like you that are the problem.

If everyone would just keep confident in the soundness of the posting system, we can ride this thing out.

If not, I’m sure someone said that a golden parachute came with this moderatin’ gig (or at least, a t-shirt).

^^^But how long before AG Cuomo from NY State demands the cancellation of those golden parachute deals?

garland,

Are we being taxed on all our posts over 2500? If so, then I am glad to see that posters with 4 billion posts are going to share the wealth. I, however, plan to start a new screenname (I think I use “SubS corp”) and lower my tax burden.

Well, reading some of these posts gets kinda taxing, if that’s what you mean…

This isn’t exactly what is meant by “constructible.” I agree it’s not realistic to actually physically do the construction, but when mathematicians refer to the term, it simply means possible. Because of some fundamental results in algebra, it’s not possible to construct most regular polygons. Thus it’s a question of whether it’s possible vs. not possible, not actually giving a specific algorithm for construction.

…

I know the words are in English but I continue to need a translation . . . .

Thats it garland! You have hit upon the solution to the deficit!! Tax all the taxing posts!! Call it the “non-value-added tax” and fine every poster a buck or 2 when they posts a nastygram. That’ll solve the national deficit and clean up cc (and hopefully might be the downfall of the political threads)

Are you guys talking about me? WOW. I was up late one night and added a post on recent books I had read and tada…instant billions posts. The site was acting alittle strange that night. But you math people…please don’t tax me. I was framed!!!
