But whats so troubling about this essay prompt is the fact that I haven’t visited stanford and everything I say seems to reflect in essence the brochure. So I really need your help and btw does stanford offer minors and is it possible to have a major and two minors. Thanks.</p>
<p>FarrCT, my daughter found the Fiske guide very helpful for all her ‘Why’ essays, even though she had already visited all the colleges she is applying to. I am sure your counselor will have it, or you can find it online or at any bookstores that have a college-preparation section of books.
About majors and minors, the Stanford website will have that information in the Academics section</p>
<p>Much of what you might write in such an essay is what you’d find on the website. For example, do you like the research opportunities? Do you like the course selection? etc.</p>
