<p>Essay: Beautiful arches and a silver dome represented an era of glory as I stood there observing the visual treat. The beauty was apparent: it was an 18th century city replicated in the midst of an urban center. As I walked on through the campus, I realized how magnificent it all was. The large stone gargoyles, artistic castles and historic buildings amazed me with their artistic appeal. The moment I had stepped in the urban remake of the ancient splendor, however, I knew I had fallen in love. It had sparked an inner desire to use my creativity. The universitys architecture reflected a growing passion amongst its student. Located in the midst of Chicago, which is known for its architecture and vibrant community, the University of Chicagos campus ignited my passion for learning from the very first moment I stepped on campus.
The University of Chicago is most unique in its unwavering mission to promote creativity. At heart, I am a very motivated student with an intense desire to explore new things. I have carried this willingness to pursue new things to accomplish my future dream of being a scientific researcher. This past summer, I explored the field of plant genetics. Initially, I had wanted to study medical science, and its impact on my local community. I doubted the applicability of plant genetics to the real world. However, a few weeks immersed in topics like botany demonstrated that I could develop an interest in anything if I pursue it passionately. This experience showed me that a little willingness to try new things can have a huge impact. Now, I feel more prepared to make a decision on my future because I have explored a different component of science. As an undergraduate, I would like to foster this skill and believe that the University of Chicagos enthusiastic professors would help me achieve my goals by providing me with opportunities to enrich my college experience. In the heart of an urban center, the University of Chicagos connections with the Pritzker School of Medicine provide In addition, Chicago itself boasts a lively community. With an opportunity to contribute to this community, I could develop my interests in science. The opportunities I would encounter in the midst of a bustling economic center are second to none, and make the University of Chicago the perfect institution to further my ambitions. </p>
