Why Wesleyan

Hello Everybody, I got denied ED1 from Bowdoin last week and was immensely disappointed. I loved everything about that school and it felt like home, none the less I am moving on and am very closing to pulling the trigger on Wesleyan for ED2. I was just looking for some reason why people love Wesleyan, and if it is a warm homey environment/easy to fit in. All responses are very much appreciated.

You’ll find your niche. And, there are many warm and homey aspects to Wesleyan (pot luck dinners with friends, Foss Hill in the springtime, the cool new bookstore on Main Street.) However, I wouldn’t confuse that with being comfortable. At least not all the time. I love Wesleyan for its contradictions: the conservative writer who learned to embrace the conventional liberal arts:

cheerleaders on a feminist campus:

the clash of honestly held views:

to name a few.

What did you like about Bowdoin specifically?

@MeltsIntoAir The warm feel of the campus and student body. The great academics and the location.
