Over the summer of 2011 I attended the Governors Honors Program in Valdosta, GA after enduring an intensive interview and simulation process. I was one amongst nearly one thousand qualified students who would be the 100 students picked as Social Studies majors and I was ecstatic. The environment of Yale is similar to the environment that I experienced while in Valdosta. The students were very inspiring and motivating; the teachers had wonderful insights into the world and various topics that we would witness throughout the month; and the seminars opened my eyes to a bigger world and greater possibilities. I yearn to experience that environment again ad I am confident that Yale will be just as rewarding as my GHP experience.

What do you think? Is it good, bad, too generic, no focus on the college, etc.?
