I’ll start this off by saying this isn’t a question. This time last year I was frantically searching this website, hoping that there was a post about getting into a college with my GPA. Notice I didn’t say “good” or “top” college. I just wanted to go somewhere besides community college. See, I had a 1.8 GPA freshman year and around a 2.8 sophomore and junior year. It wasn’t that I didn’t care or try. I did, but my social life seemed to mean more. By the time I started panicking, it was too late. It was already senior fall, and I had no clue what I was going to do. So I did what I thought was best. I worked my butt off, got a 29 on my ACT, and perfected my college essays. While I was rejected to University of Arkansas and University of Oklahoma, I was surprisingly accepted to Loyola Marymount University in LA and Texas Tech University with a $10000 scholarship. The biggest difference in my opinion was that the two schools I was accepted to were interested more in who I was as a person and I had more to add to my application then just my address. I will be attending LMU this fall and I couldn’t be happier. So please don’t overly stress about this process. You’ll be fine, I promise.
That is amazing! Congrats! LMU as in Loyola Marymount University?
Yes! I’m super excited. It was my top choice
