Ok… this is wierd. One of my friends got his acceptance to Georgia Tech last week, and they we not supposed to send the letters out until March 15th. And another friend of mine got into NYU just now, and as u all probably know… they are suppposed to be out in april. What the hell is going on??

i seriously dont see the reason why the adcoms have to wait until april to release the names. I think they are doing the right thing. why wait??

did your friend get into NYU’s GSP? if so, that’s why it’s early

GSP… as in General Studies Program… as in program for those that skipped a year in between college and HS… no… she is not

no, that’s not what the program is for…it’s just if you’re good but not good enough to be directly enrolled in CAS or Stern or whathaveyou

yea all my friends are getting their ga tech acceptances too. but tech was like that last year too, maybe even every year. now nyu, i have no clue about.

oh and its ‘weird’. sorry, that just bothered me. :]

I am applying transfer and had my app deferred from Spring 2007 to Fall 2007, so I’ve already been waiting awhile for my decision even though the due date for my app is in April. I really hope I miraculously get a decision early like your friend did.

Honestly, NYU probably wants to mail out decisions as soon as they process them. They can’t wait 'til April 1st and mail out all these thousand letters.

I think any college can be very flexible when it comes to mailing decisions out. Although they tell everyone the decisions are mailed out on first week of April, there’s always a couple of leakages here and there.

You’re stressing too much about it :)
