Wierd scoring

I love math, it’s my favorite subject. You’d think it would be the highest score on my SAT. It’s not. It’s my lowest score. Math us always my lowest score on standardized tests.

For instance, on my ACT, I got 35 english, 33 math, 34 reading, 35 science, 31 writing (got a 7 on the essay. I can rock normal essays but can’t write a “SAT” essay to save my life ).

I love math exactly because it’s a challenge. I can coast through any sort of “fluff” class without turning my brain on, but I’ve got to work hard to understand math.

Does anyone else have a problem like this? Should I just give up and be a philosophy major?

No, definitely keep up with what you love, which seems like math.

Do a philosophy minor. Best of both worlds.

Your math SAT score is not a very good indicator of your ability to do math. So don’t worry; stick with it.
