Will 4 year colleges accept applicants with an Associate in Applied Science? (Instead of A.S.)

Hello, my name is Idris and I live in New York. During my junior year in high school, I opt for a GED. It has been a year since, and I want to study Architectural Technology (A.A.S.) offered at a community college not too far.

From what I understand, Associate in Science (A.S.) help students transfer to a 4 year college while Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) are for those who want to work after graduation. So naturally I began to wonder whether a 4 year college will accept me if I pursued the degree in Architectural Technology.

I would be grateful for your advice, and thanks.
