Will a B+ in an International Law course ruin my chances of the Fletcher School?

Just curious because I’m freaking out. I’ve gotten all A’s and A-'s in my other course work such as foreign languages, international politics and economics. But I feel like this course is the core of foreign service, and doing poorly in it will prevent me from getting into the Fletcher School.

It’s very unlikely to ruin your chances.

Are you sure? I imagine it would be like applying to Julliard while having a B+ in Music Theory. “If you want to go into this profession, why did you do so mediocre in a class central to it?”

It will hurt you but not completely ruin your chances

International Law is one facet of International Studies, like Political Theory is one facet of Political Science. And one B+ is not mediocre, even for Fletcher.

Very true. I did get an A in International Politics, and I’ll be taking International Political Economics next semester so hopefully I’ll ace that.
