Will a B+ in Precalculus hurt me when applying to engineering schools?

I have a 4.25 WGPA
and a 3.93 GPA

SAT: 710 M, 600 R, 670 W

Decent amount of leadership positions and extracurriculars.

I received a B+ in a regular level precalculus class, however I have had straight A’s in all my previous math classes and I’m taking honors and ap level engineering and science classes and have received straight A’s in them as well. Would this “B” hurt my chances for engineering at schools like Rutgers, Penn State, U Delaware, or U Alabama?

No, as it seems to be one of your only B’s.

End of story.

Not even a little bit.
If you were applying to HYPS then maybe, but otherwise…no

It won’t even hurt you for HYPS.

No; will you be taking calc Ab or BC senior year? Make sure you go see a tutor at the first sighting of a B, and you’re good to go. :)

for the schools u mentioned, u are good to go

Precalc is often more difficult than calc - take a form of calc senior year, get a good grade first semester, and you’re good to go.

I’d say you’re pretty much in at Penn State. Apply early in the rolling admissions to be sure. That B+ definitely won’t hurt you much.
