I don’t want to sound snotty and stuck up, but for the record, I have always been determined and trying my best to get As and my 4.0s. However, sophomore year, I had honors chemistry, I hated it so much and did not get anything at all. The teacher was horrible, I swear to god I am not lying, everyone complains about his teaching methods. Yes, it was also MY fault for clearly not trying hard enough but I even asked other classmates for help, my math teacher, and even tutoring sessions for chemistry but I was just thrown off by everything. I was planning to get placed into regular chem. but I had absolutely no room in my schedule so I just stuck with it. Will selective uni. reject me? If they were to ask me why I had a C, I am just going to be honest and straightforward and not make up some sob story that impacted my performance in JUST chemistry, isn’t that better than just lying?
