Will a late counselor rec affect my chances for admission?

UGH! I just found out my counselor rec and school report got lost and have not been in my file until today! Has anyone ever had this happen and do you know if it can negatively affect their review? Help ease my anxiety, please!

Haha is your posting name serious?

Anyway, if your counselor calls to say it was his/her oversight and not yours it should be fine.

Yes, my first name is Lily and people have always called me Lilybelle…My counselor faxed in the rec but I don’t know if he told them it was his mistake. He only sent it to one of the schools I applied to! Tufts is my first choice so I am a little nervous!

Wow @ guidance consellors across America. I’ve had this problem with every single school I’ve applied to. They simply can’t seem to fly right by their lonesome…

I’m sure the adcoms will understand though. I can’t imagine this is the first time they’ve dealt with a lame duck counselor. Sorry about that though, I’m riding wit cha on this one…

thanks - it feels good to know I’m not the only one. Good luck to you!

Oh no, I already went to Tufts and transfered out. It’s a lovely school though, I’ve just got alot of questions about life that no school can answer. Actually my time at Tufts inspired these questions I have about my place in the world so I wouldn’t trade my time at Tufts for anything. It’s like certain professors provoked these thoughts within me and now it’s up to me to answer them…I just need some time.

It was a pretty rash decision to transfer out to be sure - I wish I was there still in alot of ways, I loved it there - but I do ridiculous things when I get scared.

Please though, when you do get in ask me about the Comparative Religion department because I have a recommendation that I hope you wont turn down.

Awesome, thanks I will do that!
