Will a PERSONAL letter from former Gov. Kean of NJ help?

Former Gov. Kean of New Jersey is a good family friend…would a strong letter from him help with admission?

does he know you on a personal level?..if he can share anecdotes or insights into the kind of person you are…i’d say it would be very helpful…if he doesnt know youy at alll…shouldnt’ help that much

Like I said, he is a good family friend. I know him extremely well.

what kind of things did he write?..lots of specifics?

Well, I am still a junior. I am not applying until next year.

it probably wont help at all… in fact it’ll prolly hurt your chances…you’re better off having your math teacher write one

Isn’t he the guy in prison?

Are you kidding? I spend almost every Christmas break with he and his family.

Where are you doing time?

You’re think of McGrevey (SP?). Kean is not in prison. On 9/11 commission.

is mcgreevey in prison? last i checked being gay doesn’t land you in prison

yeah dude, you dont want an inmate writing a letter of recommendation for you…that just looks tacky man

Unless you proved the guy innocent in your spare time and he’s getting out now.

"9/11 Commission Chair Thomas Kean spoke Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in an address at Princeton University’s Alumni Day ceremony.

Kean, the former two-term governor of New Jersey and current president of Drew University, was honored with Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson Award, the highest award bestowed on an undergraduate alumnus in recognition of exemplary service to the nation.

A member of Princeton’s class of 1957, Kean was selected by President Bush to lead the bipartisan 9/11 Commission."

that’s weak sauce

yeah it would help, darn i wish i knew someone famous/important!

A rec like that is just delicious.

I have a rec that’s even better :)

I think it will help, if you really know him as well as you claim.

what’s your story, wish?
