will ACT score compensate for low SAT score?

Like many of you, I’ve applied to Yale early for the class of 2012. The main thing that concerns me is my low SAT score (1975); but I got an ACT score of 33. Is there any chance that my ACT score could make up for my SAT? If it helps, I’m ranked 1 out of 300 students and I have an unweighted 4.0 gpa.

Thanks, any insight would be appreciated.

why did you send your SAT?
i think you’ll be fine.

omg adsw, i’m in the same boat as you, except i never ended up sending my SAT score…

i got a 33 on my ACT too, but a 2060 on my SAT

i think you should be fine though…at this point, just try to relax!

i didnt even send in my sats

how did u get a 1975 on the sat? it goes by 10s

true that!!

This is an old thread.

^I like how matter-of-factly you said that.
