I am getting recruited by Dickinson for golf and I am wondering how much this factors into admissions. I have done an interview and even did an overnight with a guy on the team. I plan on applying ED II because I have heard they accept more from the early decision pool. Unweighted, I have a 3.2 and expect a 28 or up on my next ACT. Thoughts?

As you probably know, the coach usually has a certain number of requests (small number) they can make to the admissions department to ask for special consideration for admission. Usually the coach really wants to know how interested you are first (they don’t want to waste that request with admissions). So if Dickinson is your first choice college, be sure you tell the coach that. Your stats are okay. Grades a little low, but ACT is in range. I will say, they are kind of jocks at Dickinson. My D couldn’t generate any real interest from the Dickinson coach in her sport; other DIII schools were interested.

thanks intparent.
