Will Berkeley ever be No 1 for CS again?

Just wondering.

The last time this happened was in 2004 and since then Berkeley has consistently been shuffling in the top 3 of undergraduate CS/EECS institutions.

All views/opinions welcome. :)

I don’t mean to be “that guy” but No 1 by who’s standards? Is there only one rating agency in the whole world that judges these things or are they multiple agencies each with different opinions.

Didn’t US News and World Reports use to be a tabloid paper that wanted to increase it viewership and then started ranking colleges they had never visited just to get readers?

So to answer you’re question: It’s is currently No. 1 !

Made me smile :)

But I was talking about undergraduate EECS.

Just trying to spark off a constructive discussion. :)

Here’s some constructive criticism. Stop worrying about rankings and appreciate the fact that you know so little and Berkeley can offer so much.

Here’s some constructive criticism. Stop trolling and appreciate the fact that some people realize that identification is the first step towards self improvement and though Berkeley offers so much, it can still be better if superfluously opinionated, rigid cynics like you learn to suck it up. :)

Here’s some constructive criticism. The quality of your posts are crap and almost all of them are thoughtless. In any case, I don’t ■■■■■ and I usually express what I honestly believe. People recognize computer science at Berkeley and no one who really matters will pay any attention to rankings.

Take your own advice: " prestige and a brand name can only get you so far"

Its not just about rankings. I mean to emphasize a broader point, and understand where currently we are lacking. If you don’t think we are, and there is no room to improve, then this argument is over and need I say more about who knows ‘so little’?
But obviously you wouldn’t understand that, since all you do is go around fighting with people on several threads simultaneously under the garb of “I usually express what I honestly believe”.
As for the quality of my posts, well thank you for your useless opinion. I won’t waste mine about your posts since what “I honestly believe” is that the purpose of this website is not to trash other people and sit in judgement when I’m no authority myself, but to discuss how great colleges like ours can be made even better.
