Hi I’m currently a junior!
Stats- 3.84 UW (this is kind of low because I moved back and forth between countries and schools and curriculums from 7-10 grade)
34 ACT
700 Chem SAT II 750 Math SAT II
ECs- Debate FBLA MUN awards in all of these
varsity track, basketball in 9th grade, French Club Treasurer, Environment Club, I also play the violin and helped start a tutoring club at my school and have done medical research and went to a governor’s school for health sciences
I was wondering what my chances were for the above schools
also i took all ap classes this year except honors pre calc
You seem solid! Maybe raise your ACT to a 35 but a 34 is competitive already. Work on community service and go to camps. You still have a year to go so these are guesses.
Mich-accepted
Berkeley-waitlist
Brown-waitlist/rejected
UCLA-accepted
USC-accepted

Very solid, I’m applying to the same kinds of colleges - 4/7 of these actually! For a junior you seem really good, GPA and test scores are v good, I might consider retaking the ACT for a more competitive score if you’re heavily leaning on Brown or UCB. Do you have any volunteering hours or specific awards?

For a junior, I think you are in a pretty good position! Have you thought about adding some more target/safety schools to your list? Either way, a 34 is an extremely competitive ACT score, and you have a solid list of ECs. Work really hard this year to raise your GPA and I can see you getting in to UCLA, USC, and Berkeley. I would say that as it stands right now Brown would probably be a rejection and northwestern a waitlist/rejection. Those schools are selective for even students as strong as you! If you work really hard this year though, I don’t see why you cant get accepted. Good luck with everything!
@kb23345 Yes I have some awards like go to nationals with speech and debate and fbla! And i volunteer about 3 hours a week
@shannon14 yes my safeties are pitt and ohio state and target maybe Boston U…? Thanks

Good test scores! Improve that GPA, get some more leadership and quality EC’s, and write good essays or have good interviews. If you do that you can go to any college!
