Will college accept a university drop out??Please Help

I am 25 and its been 2 years since I dropped out of university, I am now married and running a business.

I dropped out with 2.17GPA with 70 units done, and I want to go back to college.
If the college wants reason for my drop out, I have valid reason, trust me on that.

I am mature, responsible and motivated so cut the lecture about life :).

Will the college ask for my past transcript? I want to start fresh, even if it means for me to move to a different State and start college there. My business is already set up and runs by itself, therefore moving is not a problem for me.

So if there is anyone who is in similar situation as me, or been through this procedure, I would love to hear your stories.

I haven’t been in your situation so I can’t say for sure. Can’t you apply for readmission to the same university? Perhaps you can apply to another school and transfer the credits over.

Many colleges will accept a student in your situation, but you will have to be honest about your prior educational experience, and you’ll have to send transcripts.

If you have a good reason for having dropped out before, and life experience that makes you a very different person now from who you were during your previous time in college, many colleges will be happy to admit you.

You should pay a visit to the Transfer Forum, and read the thread near the top titled “Transfer Admissions 101”. Many of your questions will be answered by that thread. You can find that forum by going to the main page where all of the forums are listed, and scrolling down.

If you think you’d like to go back to your first university, pick up the phone and call them and ask what you need to do. You might need to formally apply for readmission, or they might just let you re-enroll without a lot of paperwork.

If you don’t want to go there, pick any college or university near where you live, and make an appointment with the transfer admissions officer. That person will be able to give you lots of good ideas.
