Will colleges be put off if I drop it?

Last summer (after 9th), I volunteered at a hospital briefly…for 55 hrs total…but I really didn’t enjoy it. I really want to volunteer at this big aquarium/museum nearby, and I knooooow I’ll enjoy it a lot more. Will it be bad to just drop the whole hospital thing? Do colleges even care what you do summer after freshman year/

They wont be at all. I did a different thing each summer volunteer wise and it never hurt me in the slightest.

As for importance of freshman year summer I honestly have no clue.

ooooh good! but, I’m gonna stick with the aqarium for the rest of HS…and Red Cross, which I already do

illumin4tus, did you get into college already? where? (im so curious about everyone  )

As long as you replace it with something else they probably won’t care at all.

Of COURSE, they will not care, freshman year is a time of exploring and trying new things, and colleges expect that

Do you think they would want to continue doing something you don’t like doing to please them? AN EC that is…if you do something you like, you will do better at it, and THAT is what is important

Freshman, no offense, need to relax a bit, and follow your passion
