Will colleges care which year I took a class in? [multivariable calculus in 10th versus 11th grade]

Unless you are attending an elite science/math focused school, it is highly unlikely that multivariable calculus in 10th grade is the norm. Multivariable calculus is normally a college sophomore class, and is close to the top math that you will need in college if you are not a math, statistics, or (pre-PhD) economics major (other math-heavy majors may need linear algebra and/or differential equations, but not more).
