Will colleges increase my merit aid for a higher sat score after I am admitted?

If I get accepted into a college in November, but retake the SAT in December and get a higher score, will the college increase my merit aid amount? Or does the original merit aid offered stay the same?

Some do, some don’t. Which school?

Many schools have definite guidelines for the levels of merit awards. My daughter’s school, for example, had combinations of GPA and SAT scores that had to be met for specific dollar amounts.

What are the requirements at your college?

You need to check the college.

our state school changed the merit award (for the better) for a late fall act score. But for someone else we know, who scored a good score after january of their senior year, they did not change the merit. Its all dependent on your college, but know that it does happen some places.

UAH does

Chatham University and Pitt (Main Campus) are the two schools I will be applying to before I get my December SAT scores back.
