Will colleges look down on me?

Hey! My school year just started and I have the following classes. We have a block system where each class is 90 min long.

Block : (first sem | second sem)
Block 1: AP Stats (full year)
Block 2: Pottery (for UC Schools OOS req) | French V (H)
Block 3: AP Lit (full year)
Block 4: AP Euro (full year)

I may major in Comp Sci with Econ. Should I switch to AP Comp Sci fourth block. It is only a semester class so I would need a first semester class. The only offered one is Business Management (H) or Zoology (H). I could also do an Extended Learning Opportunity for linear algebra or multivariable calc or anything. What should I do? Will colleges look down upon me if I take an honors class (or Extended Learning Opp) and AP instead of a full year AP?

Geez, people need to really get a grip and learn that not taking one AP won’t kill you. It also depends though on where you want to go to school.

@jarrett211 I understand that. It is just that a lot of kids in my school either have full AP schedules or close. I don’t colleges to pick them over me for not having as rigorous a senior schedule.

Only 4 classes?

Yeah. We only have 4 periods per day. Classes are just longer, they are 90 min. @ClarinetDad16

If it’s for UC’s, then I highly doubt it will even matter.
If it’s for privates, then ask your counselor if it will matter. If the counselor says your schedule is still classified as “Most rigorous” then it’s fine. If not, then don’t take the honors class.

I would take CS and Extended Learning Opportunity: Linear Algebra. Then replace Block 1 (Statistics) with a History class. AP Statistics is considered an “AP lite”, complementary to another math class (if you did calc) or for students who can’t/won’t do calculus. If you’re ready to take Linear Algebra and can do so, do so. It’ll be very useful for CS. However, you can’t “not have” a social science, so an AP history class would be a must-have, or an “extended learning opportunity” at the college with an introductory college history class.
(Core classes for selective colleges are English, Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Language, so finding a social science is necessary).

UPDATE: I chose AP Euro and love the class. Thank you for all your opinions! Good luck to those SENIORS!
