Will colleges think I used score choice?

In May 2010 I signed up to take my subject tests but was sick so I didn’t show up. I didn’t officially cancel my scores ever. I went to send score reports to all of my schools today, and it said on my receipt “College X has received SOME of your scores.” This is because it will not send my untaken subject test scores. Will non score choice schools think I used score choice? I would send my untaken “scores” too but CB won’t let me.

‘‘College X has received SOME of your scores.’’ is just a statement directed to you.

The report that the college receives does NOT indicate whether or not you used score choice.
But in the event that the college (which does not support score choice) suspects/finds out that you have violated their policy, they might reject your application entirely.

In your case, since you did not cancel the scores, technically ‘‘untaken scores’’ are still scores. If they don’t find out, everything’s okay. If they find out, though not a high chance, you shall have some explanation to do.

Sending non-score choice reports to ‘‘anti-score choice’’ colleges is a matter of integrity. In your case, since the tests have not even been taken, I, personally will be able to send the scores excluding the untaken ones without feeling I’m going against my conscience. I feel that’s perfectly fine.

Yet, to be safe, you might want to direct this question to the specific colleges. Tell them you were sick, didn’t take the test, but didn’t cancel the scores, is it okay to exclude the scores from the report now? or maybe they’ll ask you to submit all, but let you attach a statement explaining your situation

OP, you have no worries.

If you are absent test day, no score report is sent. Colleges will never know you signed up.

Please see this page: [SAT Changes - How to change test, test site, or test date](http://sat.collegeboard.com/register/registration-changes)

If you do not show up to take a test, that results in automatic cancellation. (Statement above that “untaken scores” are still scores is incorrect.) CB does not inform schools of any cancellations and you do not have to inform school that rejects score choice that you did not take a test.

^Then why would it say that only some scores were sent?
