The ****** who said this to me was dead serious. So after I’d gotten over my initial reaction, I got curious as to what else every applicant wonders if colleges will understand. You know, whatever crazy situations or tragedies have happened to us that make our college applications a little less than perfect. So I’ll go first:</p>
<p>-… That the reason I had such a low gpa sophomore year was because my overzealous parents moved me to a third world country ad enrolled me in a school that taught in a language I didn’t even speak?</p>
