<p>I am in the first semester of my senior year in high school and can either get a C or withdraw from my Pre-Calculus Honors course. Will withdrawing be reason enough for colleges to seriously reconsider my application if I am an incoming film major? I’m applying to UCBerkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UCSC, USC School of Cinematic Arts, NYU Tisch, and Loyola Marymount.</p>
<p>For the UC schools if you change your schedule after you apply then you need to notify them. Since the apps for the UCs aren’t available yet this shouldn’t be an issue if you do it now; on the app you simply report the classes you’ve already taken and the ones you are planning to take senior year, which will match your final transcript. But double-check with your HS counselor.</p>
