The title says it all. Will admissions reread my high school Common App and supplements when reviewing my application for admission as a freshman transfer? I got waitlisted at UNC, UVA when applying last year and will apply again this year so any answer would help. Thanks!
If you reapply to the same schools, in all probability your new file will be added to your old file.
Short answer: yes 90+% of the time.
They will want to see that you have grown in that time, academically and otherwise.
- high grades
- campus participation/ other ECs (maybe job or internship if you also do that)
- essays that target the specific school and how you will fit in there (be sure it’s not an essay about the attributes of the school. See if you can paint a picture of you making use of those attributes and supporting the target school’s culture and community)
@Dustyfeathers thanks for the detailed answer. appreciate it!
