<p>My dream is to get into MIT or at least top 10 colleges. But the problem is that I’m living in Clayton county in Georgia. There are 2 colleges near my house: Clayton State University(it’s like a community college) and Georgia State University. My school only offer a few AP classes and Honor classes here are easy as normal classes. And the dual enrollment program required SAT or ACT score but I didn’t take SAT or ACT yet. Should I take SAT at the end of my 10th grade year and enroll in dual enrollment at Georgia State for 11th and 12th grades or take the SAT at the end of my 11th grade and enroll in the dual program for my 12th grade? Will enroll in dual enrollment program help me get admit in MIT or should I take all few AP classes as available in my school?</p>
<p>Dual enrollment DOES help. I would say it’s about equal to AP/IB courses and it shows you’re taking the most challenging courses available to you and maxing out your opportunities since typical classes aren’t available to you. Just remember that it is really important to get good grades or you’ll damage your college GPA. Dual enrollment alone won’t get you in, but combined with other top stats it can help</p>
