Hi, I’m an international rising senior that loves Princeton and has good stats and good ECs. However, yesterday as I checked my AP results, I saw I got 3s for all my exams taken. Still, I have a 5 from an AP exam taken in sophomore year. Thus, will getting these 3s affect my chances of getting into Princeton?
AP’s are self reported and not required by Princeton. Even if you report them, they are not given much weight. Since you are an international student, I would definitely not report them (the AO won’t even notice). You should of course know how hard it is to get into Princeton, even harder as an international. Your school transcript (are you a top 5% student in a competitive school) and SAT (close to or over 1500)/ACT (33+) are the objective scores that are the most important. The TOEFL, IELTS or PTE may also be required depending on your situation.
