will i be a borderline applicant?/calculating gpa w/ 7th semester

i’ve been reading a bit about borderline applicants, and i am kind of hoping that i get an email asking for a letter of rec and 7th semester grades. i have an upward trend and i think i am getting a 4.0uw this year, so that could help my case. based on past years, could anyone say if i could potentially be a borderline applicant or not?

CA resident if that matters
if i calculated correctly, i have a 4.04 uc gpa
3.72uw, 3.76uw with 7th semester
School doesn’t rank, i’m assuming top ~15%
33 ACT
decent/strong ECs and also did research last summer as well as worked at my father’s office the past 2 summers
couple of school awards as well as NHS and ap scholar
Strong essays (personal opinion)

also, for calculating uc gpa with 7th semester grades, does the 8 semester honors cap raise? because i calculated my uc gpa using californiacolleges.edu, and when adding in my projected grades for senior year, my gpa went down .01.

okay i did some more calculations and i read that there is a difference between weighted and capped and fully weighted. so fully weighted i have a 4.16 UC GPA. With 7th semester, I calculated that my GPA would jump up to a 4.26, which is still a little below average for Cal, but now I am really hoping that I am a borderline applicant so that I can add in my grades

UC GPA only accounts for 10-11 GPA.

So they won’t recalculate it if they ask for my 1st semester senior year grades?

They won’t recalculate your gpa, but they will acknowledge your upward trend. You have a shot.

so do I seem like a likely candidate for a borderline supplement?
