Will I Be Accepted As A Transfer Student Into These Colleges?

If I can raise my GPA to around a 3.5-4.0 whats my shot on getting into:

U of Alabama
Ole Miss
U of Texas - Austin
Texas a&m

My ACT from high school sucked and I ended with a 3.0, then this year in college I started off with a 2.6 GPA at the University of Iowa and raised it to a 3.0 my freshman year. Now I’m leaving to Air Force basic training and will be back at Iowa by spring semester then plan to transfer after that! (Which I think will still be considered my sophomore year next fall?)

I’m in ROTC and wanted to transfer out by next spring but with just a 3.0 and an unimpressive high school transcript, I thought I’d better wait. How do my chances look if I can get a high GPA?
*I heard GPA is what’s crucial. Feel free to add any other input if you know these schools well on what I need to be accepted!!

So you have finished one year of school, and have a 3.0 GPA. You will be gone until spring semester 2018. When do you want to transfer? It’s pretty much mathematically impossible to raise your GPA to a 3.5 in one semester. You’d need two semesters of straight A’s for that to happen.

@college_query the credits from my Air Force tech school are transferable, so my intentions are to get straight A’s there and get as many A’s possible my spring semester (this upcoming spring). Then I’d transfer that following Fall semester
