Will I be considered in-state?

Okay well I live with one parent in Missouri and my other parent lives in Texas. Would I be considered in-state or out-of-state if I went to college in Texas? Thanks

No you would no be considered in-state for a college in Texas. You physically have to be living in Texas for 12 months prior to the semester you apply for. They will need proof…taxes, drivers license & Vehicle Registration # (date issued) and/or voter’s registration to prove that you have resided in Texas for at least 12 months.

You need to contact each college/university that you are looking at in Texas, and ask specifically about their residence policy. This can vary from one public institution to another even within the same state.
