Will I be defered or rejected ED?

I love CMU, and I really want to major in CS. However, my scores/grades aren’t that great. I plan to get my SAT hopefully up to 2200+, and get straight As senior year(I haven’t really applied myself fully in the past). With that in mind, with these stats, would you expect an outright rejection from SCS/CIT or a deferment? I’m realistic in knowing that I probably will not get in, but I don’t want to be outright rejected; at least if I’m deferred I have some time to increase my GPA/SAT score. So what do you think? What would be the most likely outcome applying ED?

My tests:
SAT1: 660W/670CR/700M

HOPING to get a CS research paper published or at least submitted to a journal. Not sure how this will play out, but I’m working with a prof from a prestigious (maybe not for CS, but overall) university to hopefully get this done.

I have no idea, but I have 2 comments.

Firstly, if you improve your SAT score, you would be a much more viable candidate.

Secondly, I don’t really think deferrals are to give you time to improve yourself. The way I see it, a school will defer someone if they believe there is a chance that that person will be replaced by a stronger candidate during regular admission. That would mean that your chances of getting in after deferral are most dependent on the other candidates than yourself. But you can always improve yourself.

I got my AP tests:

3 - Chem
5 - Calc AB

Do you think the 5 on the Calc will make up for my less-than-stellar B in the class?
