I’m something of a procrastinator (explains high test scores and avg gpa)

Stats are
GPA: 3.5ish UW, 3.7W
Rank: right on the 25% border (out of 750 or so)
SAT: OLD 760/760 - 1520
New : 800 Critical Reading, 790 Math, 680 Writing - 2270
I currently have 6 AP tests taken (5 classes), and by the end of this year it will be up to 9 or 10. I have taken pretty much the hardest courses my school has to offer with the exception of math, where I am one year behind the hardest, but I took two math classes last year to make up for it (ap stats)
My EC’s arent astounding (chess team, math team) and i have about 70 hours of volunteer work. The other thing im hoping will help my chances is that I’m a national merit scholar semifinalist
I applied to so far
University of Illinois Urbana Champaign for engineering (I’m in illinois)
UNC Chapel Hill (this one is a stretch i know)
USC (i’m told they aren’t too grade oriented and like merit scholars)
University of Florida - I would really like to go here, i didnt consider it until about a week ago, when someone told me merit scholars get a free ride, but I’m just not sure with my grades, everything else is there I know but these are the only schools I applied to and its a bit late to apply anywhere else, I really just hope i get in one of these places, at this point they all sound very good and i would love to goto any altho out of them, USC is my first choice.
Anyone have any insight?
