Will I fail ?

My two dream schools are Yale and Stanford. I’m not one of those students with a huge shot at acceptance, but i do have a shot - at least I think so.

My have an IB predicted Grade of 36 or 37 plus the 3 core points i would get 39 or 40 out a full score of 45.

If I do, by some miracle, get accepted. According to my academic abilities, will I struggle with the curriculums at Yale and Stanford. I want to go to a school where I will be in the middle of class rankings.

Also, I have friends who are thinking of applying to the same schools with an IB score of 43. However, they take (what I believe to be) reasonably easier subjects. I take subjects like Higher English, History and Math and Physics. While They take subjects such as Higher Drama, Biology and Standard Math. They also take Standard Chinese, despite the fact that they are Ethnically Chinese. Will my more rigorous curriculum balance out my lower score?

39 or 40 is a fantastic score! Your grades won’t prevent you from gaining admission to your dream schools, but you will need more than stellar grades to make the cut.

i agree with b@r!um, but in terms of if you get accepted, i think you’ll be able to handle the courseload with no problems – it will obviously be a lot of hard work, but you would be just fine…good luck!
