<p>I applied to University of Pittsburgh for transfer for next semester, and got accepted; however, i have to send my final transcript for this semester. There is one class that I am not doing well in, and there is a possibility that I will fail it and receive a 0 for the course. If I do not get a 0, I will get a D (around 60% or a little higher), thus receiving a 1 for the course. My other grades are okay, some are really good. Do you think that Pitt will deny me once they see my final transcript? I have already paid my deposit and registered. I am very worried.</p>
<p>I dont think they can. I think if you have the D, they will not accept that credit. But i’m not sure. Hope someone on this thread can shed some light for you.</p>

<p>when i got here and was registering for classes, i nervously fessed up to failing the class, and my adviser’s reaction was, “oh, that sucks, you’ll have to take a math class here now!” </p>
<p>if you’ve already registered and paid the deposit, relax! you’re good! they won’t revoke it. you just won’t get credit for it. they probably gave you credit thinking you would pass. she just shrugged it off.</p>
<p>No, it shouldn’t matter. The administration wouldn’t catch it in the red tape anyways (As a pitt student, they are awfully oblivious). If you are very worried, attach a note about why you failed the course and enroll in it again at Pitt</p>
<p>Yes, it can happen, but it’s rare. I have a friend who got a “D” in her final semester before transferring to Brown, and although the admissions officials were definitely not happy about it, she spoke with them about it and they were still willing to take her. Since Pitt isn’t horribly selective, however, you could very well be fine.</p>
