I’ve always thought Pitt was an easy school to get into, but now that I’ve been browsing CC I’m getting a bit scared. The page of guaranteed grad school says you only need a 3.5 and 1250, but is it actually that easy, and will I even get in at all?

Weighted: 3.77
Unweighted: 3.55
Top 6% at a public school
8 AP Classes
4 Community College Classes- 4.0 GPA
1 College in High School (Pitt Sponsored)

Mixed Race African American/White/American Indian Female
Poor first generation student
Mother is disabled

Volunteer at Children’s Hospital, Section Leader in Marching Band, Tutor Middle School Students, Key Club, Secretary of Medical Careers Club, Future Teachers of America, Bible Club and Youth Group, Library Assistant, Class Play, and Yearbook. I also own my own small business selling handmade jewelry online worldwide. I’m guessing most of these aren’t even worth mentioning, but whatever helps.

I am confused…Are you applying for under grad, grad or transfer ?
“The page of guaranteed grad school says you only need a 3.5 and 1250, but is it actually that easy,”

Although you say grad, I am assuming its for undergrad. Actually getting a 1250 on the SAT is not easy at all. The 25th percentile at pitt is around 1720 and 75th is around 2050.

Everything else looks on par for pitt in your application including GPA and rank but you did not mention your SAT score…Unless you mention your sat score, we cannot chance you.

If you are applying as transfer, ignore this post…

Knew I was forgetting something important- I got a 1240/1870 the last time I took it, but that was a while ago I’m planning on raising about 50 points.

I’m applying for undergrad along with guaranteed grad school admission later on, since they don’t offer an undergraduate major in education.

1870 SAT combined with 3.5 UW GPA, top 6 % rank, 8 AP classes you are definitely in. Doesn’t matter if you increase your SAT or not but I would increase it if you want some scholarships…
